NTPS students are being graded on obtaining, evaluating, an communicating information.  For this SEP students must " read and evaluate text to obtain scientific information."  This article shares how a 2nd grade teacher and the schools reading specialist collaborated to develop a lesson that addressed this SEP, the content being addressed in the classroom as well as built on skills needed in ELA.  What a great way to build on ELA skills, library research practices and the science content being taught in the classroom.
